Paddles is a quick service coffee and sandwich shop that also serves baked-in-house pastries. All team members are required to be proficient in all aspects of the shop.

The ideal person should be available to work 24-32 hours each week and must be available during our normal operating hours. Paddles is open 7 days a week between 6 am and 5 pm, depending on the day. Team members should allow at least one hour after closing for cleaning and prep work. Because our company is community oriented, team members may occasionally be asked to stay late for special events like parades, holiday events, or other festivals.

- Greet guests upon entry and provide friendly and personal service to each guest
- Take food and drink orders and provide explanation of the menu and other options to guests who may need assistance
- Prepare a variety of food and drink options, including sandwiches, baked pastries, coffee, tea, smoothies, etc.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go and basic food safety procedures
- Must be able to stand for several hours and lift 15-25 pounds
- ServeSafe Certification is desirable but not required. Full time team members will be required to obtain this certification upon completion of a probation period

- Conflict resolution and the ability to resolve customer complaints without requiring manager involvement

Part time team members are given a degree of flexibility in scheduling at Paddles, and as such, are compensated as such. Shifts are generally 6-7 hours and part time employees should be available at least 3 days each week. Pay begins at $8.50/hr plus pooled tips.
